California has stick emission regulation and proposed more ambitious regulation before it rejected by Bush’s Federal Government. California green policy not only makes this country have lower emission but it also open new economic chance in clean energy power plant, solar and wind industry and utility efficiency.
This State regulates the renewable portfolio standard. It mandates that 20% power supply should be produce fro renewable resource before 2010. Later, the success of California led other twenty six states to adopt the standard with different deadlines. Furthermore, Obama’s administration who committed to clean energy since his campaign, look for this standard as a benchmark for the national energy blueprint. This regulation brings a booming in green power industry and it creates new jobs. With the initiative from California, we could hope that renewable energy could bring America become a green nation.
